Hotel Kilkenny

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The room was clean, comfortable, and well designed with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. While the location wasn't in the heart of everything, it was still very convenient to get around easily. Overall, a great experience and I’d definitely stay here again!

My friend and I were unexpectedly upgraded to a “plus” (brand new) room at check-in. It was gorgeous! The beds were really comfortable, there was loads of space, and there were lots of nice little extras, like fluffy robes and slippers in the wardrobe, and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was beautiful, with a big walk-in shower with two shower heads and proper toiletries. I thought the price was very reasonable for the high quality accommodation. The location is also very good; it was just a 25-min. walk into the city centre. We had a light dinner in the bar before heading out for a concert at The Hub (a 10-min. drive away). A starter was big enough for me, with a side of chunky chips. The deep-fried goat’s cheese was delicious. The breakfast on Sunday morning was excellent, with several choices of cooked dishes, plus cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, delicious brown bread, juices, iced water, and plenty of tea and coffee. Every taste was catered for (including vegan options). My poached eggs were perfectly cooked, which is no mean feat when catering for large numbers. I really liked the fact that the cooked breakfast was made to order and not sitting congealing under heat lamps. The only problem was knowing when to stop eating! The staff in the restaurant at breakfast were very attentive and friendly, and there were plenty of them on duty. Despite advance warnings about delays at “rush hour,” it was not crowded and we didn’t have to wait for a table.

The hotel was quite good, and it had excellent facilities (lobby, restaurants, active club and pool area). The room could have improvements, it was a little dated, bathroom too, but they were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good and exceeded our expectations. The buffet area and restaurants were beautiful, and the staff was helpful and attentive. The children's menu was quite impressive, I had never seen so many options for children in restaurants. The pool area had a nice children's pool, and the reception desk staff was great too. I would recommend a stay there (couples, families with children) and would stay again in the hotel.

There was a great variety of breakfast options and the hot options were delivered promptly. The waiting staff were very attentive - used items were cleared and not left taking space on the table. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and polite and happy to provide recommendations which is something we really appreciate.

Friendly staff,in every sector,within the hotel,the level of hygiene was excellent throughout, food and drink was also very good,, both breakfast and evening meals,and finally a visit to the leisure centre was a great experience, with a fantastic facility available,where we were welcomed by really nice staff, We would definitely recommend a visit to Hotel Kilkenny *****
